Interference from Background Programs

It is important that you manage program and operating system updates and antivirus and other security scans to occur at times when you are not trading with the ChaosHunter Trader.

 

Program and operating system updates may cause a computer shutdown and restart.  Antivirus and other security scans may cause your computer to lose the connection to the IB Trader Workstation.

 

In the ChaosHunter Trader check the IB API Messages tab in the IB Trader Workstation Data Display for notices that the connection to the IB Trader Workstation has been lost to determine if you have had a problem and need to make changes in your computer.  You may set up a sound alert if the connection is lost in the ChaosHunter Trader Options menu.
